RECAP: ArtSee 2014 in Photos
To summarize: Approximately 75 guests gathered to enjoy beautiful sculptures by Deborah Butterfield at Zolla/Lieberman Gallery, scrumptious food and drink, performances and art-making….and a surprise ending (scroll down for more). All told, ArtSee 2014 raised over $3,500 for arts education programs in Chicago schools. Thank you!
And now, the evening in photos thanks to our wonderful photographer, Alayna Kudalis!
Guests mingled with Urban Gateways’ Junior Board, the New Arts Forum:
We enjoyed AMAZING food by J&L Catering. My only disappointment is that I can’t eat their fig cheesecake for every dessert of my life. Thanks also to The Noble Grape for wine, and Goose Island for beer!
The silent auction featured goodies including an Ethnic Chicago Neighborhoods Spice Blends box from The Spice House, Beijing Dance Theatre tickets, kids’ cooking classes and etc:
We raffled off Urban Gateways student artwork (with balloons! And prizes!):
Teaching artist Jonathan Franklin led guests in crafting their own boutonnieres:
Be the Groove rocked the house with their dynamic body percussion performance, and Robbie Q. Telfer followed up with poignant and funny spoken word:
And then, as the evening wrapped up, this happened:
THANKS to all who attended for supporting Urban Gateways arts education programs! We couldn’t do it without you. Check out all ArtSee 2014 photos HERE.
