Ty’Kira Smalls

Ty’Kira Smalls is an avid consumer of film/television, which led to her attending Columbia College Chicago to receive her BA in Cinema Art and Science. As a zealous writer, she received what she still deems as the most esteemed award to date: “Most Publishable”, in high school back in South Carolina. When she’s not writing, she can be seen thrifting, biking, struggling to skate, or buying books faster than she can read to eventually break her bookshelf. At Street Level, Ty’Kira started as a participant in the Multimedia Journalism Program and later transitioned to be Creative Editor for their blog, mildsauce.org. Currently, she works as a Communications Associate at Urban Gateways.
