Art for All Fest – Amundsen Park

This year we’re introducing a new, free event in partnership with the Chicago Park District: Urban Gateways Art for All Fest! Join us on Saturday, July 15 at Amundsen Park for three hours of creativity suitable for all ages. This event features live performances and hands-on art making activities. Free, artistic fun in a beautiful Chicago park!

Art for All Fest offers hands-on activities for artists of all ages. Join a drum circle with your own creation from our instrument making station. Our poetry tent has something for everyone to explore the power of words. You can make your own button to wear, build a doll made out of corn husks, and even use tissue paper to create your own stained glass “window”. We’re also making installations in the park (an homage to Chicago’s Year of Public Art), so decorate CDs to create a shimmering sculpture and get your hands dirty while splatter painting a community mural.
