Amazing Africa is performed by Ayodele (Marlon’s Way), a dance troupe founded by Money Taylor as a lasting tribute to his friend, whose life was cut short by violence, and fellow dancer Marlon Wade. As an accomplished performer and dancer, Money Taylor has performed on stage and television, including special appearances on Oprah and the David Letterman show.
The organization Marlon’s Way seeks to educate students about the history of West Africa through music, dances, and theater. In addition to their work with Urban Gateways, Marlon’s Way performs for inner city youth promoting peace. Money and his dance team use poetry, dance, theater, and gymnastics movements in their work with young people in Chicago and beyond.
